Advancing Health and Wellness: BUC provides basic natural health care to meet the needs of a diverse, underserved population of all ages throughout San Diego County including low-income children and their families, the homeless and senior citizens. BUC has a clinic on its Sorrento Valley campus and two external sites at EJE Academies Charter School and the Alternative Healing Network. At these sites, advanced naturopathic medicine (ND) students provide free care under the supervision of Bastyr clinical faculty. From July 2015 — June 2016, there were approximately 8,000 patient visits to BUC clinics and sites.

Description: Founded in 1978, Bastyr University is a nonprofit, private university offering graduate and undergraduate degrees, with a multidisciplinary curriculum in science-based natural medicine.  Bastyr has campuses in San Diego, California and Kenmore, Washington. Bastyr University California (BUC) opened in 2012, becoming California’s first, and only, fully accredited naturopathic medical school.
