Mission Statement: The mission of Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo is to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve through providing access to excellent care, available to all.
Clinicas
Advancing Health and Wellness: Due to the remote and rural nature of the communities served by Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo, many patients experience substantial barriers to accessing health care, especially for behavioral health and specialty medical services. Imperial County is a Federally-Designated Medically Underserved Area and a Health Professional Shortage Area for Mental Health and Primary Care.
Description: Established in 1970, Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo, Inc. is a non-profit corporation operating 13 health care centers, 3 dental clinics, and 3 Women, Infant and Children Programs. Clinicas serves Medically Underserved Areas where access to affordable care remains a significant challenge due to our service area being among the most impoverished in the nation. As a Migrant Health Center, Clinicas strives to meet the complex needs of these low-income, uninsured populations with culturally and linguistically appropriate services, all with a focus on patient-centered care. Clinicas ensures each clinic site is easily accessible to the target population, including within close proximity to public transportation, in high-need neighborhoods, adjacent to schools, and/or along major roads. Clinicas ensures that patients receive effective, understandable and respectful care that is provided in a manner compatible with their cultural health beliefs, practices and preferred language.
