Does your organization advance health and wellness in the San Diego or Imperial County region?

If so, you could be the next recipient of a Mission Support Grant from Alliance Healthcare Foundation. These awards are granted annually, allowing local non-profits to advance their missions and to positively affect their community.

Applying is easy!

Start by logging in to our current application found on the Mission Support Grants page. You can create a new account or simply enter your existing credentials if you’ve used the system before.

From there, read the welcome text to familiarize yourself with the grants and to learn what we’re looking for in prospective grantees. It’s also a great idea to look at the list of current grantees on our website and to read our mission statement. Knowing who we are and what we’re about will help you determine if your organization can be a fit for a Mission Support Grant!

Next, dig into the application. Read through the questions, and keep what you’ve learned about us and our current grantees in mind. How does your organization fit in? We’ll also want to know the population and the region you serve, so make sure you know your demographics.

In addition to demographic information, we’ll also be interested your company’s financials. Know your total revenue and expenses, and be prepared to upload your budget and a copy of your most recent 990.

If you’ve researched our website and checked out our current grantees (which you should have!) you’ll also notice that every grantee created a video to go along with its application. You will need to make a video, as well. We’re not looking for marketing or promotional videos; instead, we want to see your Executive Director or CEO in front of the camera, explaining how your organization advances health and wellness in the community. Thankfully, you don’t have to be Spielberg. A simple cell phone or camcorder video, which you will then upload to YouTube, will work perfectly.  Once you’ve made the video and posted it to YouTube, be sure to include the link in your application.

That’s it! If you follow these steps, you’ll have a solid foundation to build your application upon, and you’ll improve your chances of becoming one of our next grantees. Ultimately, our decision is based on a board vote, and the amount awarded will be announced at a later date. There is no place to indicate a requested amount on the application, so please keep that in mind as you fill out the fields.

If you have any questions about the application or if you run into any problems, please contact Michele Silverthorn at 858-875-3305 or info@alliancehf.org.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
