Do you know somebody deserving of recognition for their goodwill and compassion?
Nominate them for the Association of Fundraising Professionals – San Diego (AFPSD) National Philanthropy Day awards!
A ceremony will take place Oct. 28, 2014 at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel, where AFPSD will recognize and honor those who make our community a better place through their efforts in philanthropy.
From an AFPSD press release, leaders from AFPSD will speak at the event, highlighting “the importance of public and private partnership and collaboration in philanthropy, and the role of development staff and volunteers in philanthropy.”
After that, eight awards will be given out in the following categories, recognizing those who do outstanding work in an effort to help others:
- Outstanding Philanthropist
- Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer
- Outstanding Organization Volunteer
- Outstanding Philanthropic Organization
- Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation
- Outstanding Youth/Student Volunteer
- Outstanding Celebrity Volunteer
- Outstanding Development Professional
We know that many of you know somebody who devotes their life to philanthropy, to making this world a better place for the less fortunate.
Honor their work with a nomination, and act quickly! The nomination period ends May 31, so get your submissions in as soon as possible.
