By activating our investment portfolio to bring missing capital in the form of debt or equity financing to projects that advance our mission in San Diego, we can generate greater social return than is possible with our grantmaking portfolio alone.

Impact Investments can be either debt or equity, or in some cases, loan guarantees.

When we collaborate on investments, we can effect greater social outcomes. We set aside approximately 10% of our endowment to be used for Impact Investments supporting San Diego.

Impact Investment requests may be submitted at any time.
