Join us in re-imagining a future wellness ecosystem for the greater San Diego region. Approximately two years ago, Alliance Healthcare Foundation’s Board of Directors began exploring how to further catalyze existing and emerging efforts towards wellness. Since this time, we have held a series of meetings with community leaders, including the County of San Diego’s Health and Human Services Agency, Be There San Diego, Community Health Improvement Partners, Champions for Health, 211 San Diego, and others. These discussions have led us to consider a new way to integrate and coordinate current efforts culminating in this inaugural coalition meeting.

Wellness San Diego is an InvestUp initiative of Alliance Healthcare Foundation. Wellness San Diego believes that all people have a desire to be well. Wellness is a state of complete physical, mental, spiritual, economic and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Society, community, neighborhood, and family are collectively responsible for creating an environment of health and wellness. Wellness is personal and is not the same for everyone. Individuals need information and support to make positive choices for a more successful existence. We believe that to make meaningful progress we must work together to ensure the following functions exist for our region and are coordinated to maximize the impact.
